Quilters for Christ
The Quilters for Christ group has a lot of fun creating lap quilts for people in need of comfort and love. We also create quilts to be raffled to raise money for different projects in our church. Do not be intimidated by the "quilting" aspect. It's not as hard as you think. If you want to learn to quilt, or share your skills, come join us. If you can sew a straight seam, you can quilt! If you don't want to sew, we have plenty of other things you can do to help, washing and ironing fabric, tying the quilts together, pressing seams as we are sewing or cutting fabric.
We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month around 12 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Some bring their lunch or carry out with them and we have fellowship time and then start to work. We are all pretty busy and are happy to say, "come whenever you can."
